In my straight-up workplace that values bureaucracy busting, I heard this gem this morning:

A project manager had his resource request rejected, not because of content, but because it was on the wrong template. On further investigation, it appears that the template was correct, but the font was different. Project delayed: wrong font. Priceless.

In other work related news, the web based version of our internal directory sucks. At least, it did until this morning, until I finally made my own version - exactly the same, but omitting the stupid Javascript that opens the frameset in a new kiosk window (which only works if you're not blocking pop-ups) and changes the page in the current window.
