Hitting my head against a Wall: work web site silliness

It has been a while since I had to explain important web, HTTP and DNS concepts to the person responsible for some of our external web sites. I had almost forgotten what an experience it is.

I'm pleased that I kept the sites in question from breaking, but it would have been an interesting story if the DNS request had gone to someone else and been actioned...
