Mountain Goat Surefoot Stout
I missed trying it this year, and was pleased when I saw it at Corky's in Traralgon. According to the label:
The Surefoot Stout is ... A robust stout, it has a smooth mouthfeel and soft, burnt characters derived from crystal and roasted malts.
They're right about the burnt character; it certainly comes through. I don't like anything burnt, but this is just enough to make the beer interesting, not enough to put me off.
I think I have found a new favourite stout... Anyone want to buy me a six pack for no especial reason?
