RFC & Time Zones
There is one disadvantage to being in a +9 time zone - if an Apr 1 RFC is released on the day, it may be late morning or afternoon here before we receive it. I haven't read through 3751 in detail, but it does look good (and topical). Not sure that I'm up for my annual task, though. Maybe I'll just let it slide and pick up next year...

Aw come on, you have to trick the supporties! Its the LAW!

Yeah, I guess. I don't really have time for it now, but maybe later. This RFC is not so much Internet oriented, but I guess I could fake a letter from ARIA or something...

OOH! did you trick the supporties!??? or did you wait till after 12??? cause if so, i am so outta here before they come down to wedgie you and coat both our desks with cream.

...3751 is the rfc...? uhm... i haven't looked @ it yet.

They closed the request as spam. :-(

That's shocking! In my day a supportee who was worth his salt would've viewed an April 1st RFC-based request as a challenge ...

Or at the very least, passed it on to someone else without realising what it was (happened twice so far). Maybe using the Subject line didn't sound relevant enough to Support: "Invitation to join ARIA working group".

Now that's just sad. That should have been viewed as an opportunity to "escalate" a job to Marketing. ;)
