Usability gripe of the day: being forced to abandon grammar

If I'm your customer, filling in your form, and your SQL can't handle my use of apostrophes just because you don't know how to properly escape my input, then that's your problem, not mine.

You don't provide any useful error message, so it's just down to luck that I guess at what the problem might be and try again. What happens when other people try to enter text in English instead of netspeak? You've had this system for months now and have surely received complaints. So tell me: is it that you cant, you wont, or you dont know how? (sic)
