Too much contrast

So, I finally calibrated my MacBook Pro display. And after two days of using the colour profile it created, I still think that it has too much contrast.

But there are no customisable settings in Spyder2express. Spyder2 Pro has a gamma adjustment that looks like it will do the trick, but:

1. I don't know that I want to upgrade just to get gamma adjustment.
2. They say they don't have upgrades anymore, anyway.

Grr.
