Included in the treaty is an agreement for Australia to implement American-style DMCA copyright laws, extensions to the term of copyright, and an agreement to move towards American-style patent and trademark laws
The thing that I dislike most, is this:
Making copyright valid until 50 years after the author's death is silly. See Founders' Copyright for the original scheme - 14 years of copyright protection from the date of creation - much fairer.
And now they want us to follow the US and increase the term from 50 years to 70 years after death? Sigh.
