Good one, Microsoft

Our home network now uses WPA2. Windows XP only supports WPA. Unless you install an update that adds WPA2 support.

So, I sit down at the iMac, fire up Opera, and try to download the update, so that I can run it on the Windows notebook and get my Internet access back.

BUT... you have to go through a Windows Geniune Advantge check before you can download. The update's useless if you don't have Windows, but they want to use the opportunity to be sure I'm not using a stolen copy.

So, let me get this straight: If I connect to the Internet, I can download the update that will let me connect to the Internet?
