I pulled an all-nighter, but it was worth it...

In possibly my my focused work so far, I've now completed the revised draft of the requirements for this IP VPN project. That rare focus, aided by several paragraphs I'm very pleased with, have made for some rather fulfilling work, despite the hour.

Despite a few days of walking around in a sleep-deprived haze, I think my body has adapted well to the late nights and my second wind has lasted right through the night. I shall try to correct it, through, so that I'm not totally useless tomorrow.

And now: breakfast, then sleep...

Apricot chicken - yum, but...

How on earth can kids not like apricot chicken? They like chicken and they like apricot, but would Josh try any at all? Not a chance. Actually, he claims that he ate some rice ("and it was yucky"), but there is no evidence of the chicken being moved in the slightest. How the hell can you evaluate taste solely on appearance, you stubborn little boy?

Naturally, Jesara ate the chicken, the litle carnivore. But she didn't like the rice with the apricot sauce. Sigh. What are we supposed to feed kids when they just won't eat?

Hopefully they don't really need the food and will survive being sent to bed hungry...

QotW: A Few Things

"Got a few things I must do;
Running out of time's nothing new.
Got a few things I must do;
Got no choice but to push on through."

[Play MP3]

Time for another apt quote. Taking a break from Laura Marling songs, which have been on way high rotation, and which will no doubt feature in upcoming QotW posts.
