This film score is out of print and hard to get, so I got an LP/vinyl copy, as it was cheaper than a CD. Plus, the seller recorded a CD copy for me from the LP.
Some people talk about the "warmth" and superiority of vinyl. Maybe it's a matter of what you are used to. The recording is good, but to me it sounds a little muffled. Like a photo that's a tiny bit out of focus, making me want to play with the sharpening tool. Of course, not having an original CD copy, I can't really compare vinyl to CD.
In any case, I'm not enough of an audiophile to pursue analogue music. Convenience (portable music players, online downloads) will win out for me any time.
