LiveJournal shortcomings: missing features

Although LiveJournal has several advantages (OpenID, anonymous commenting, full post feeds, etc.) over ultra-closed systems like MySpace, it does seem to be dragging it's heels in some areas.

What ever happened to search? I recall a post in News many months ago saying they were implementing something.

And what about Trackback support? That's another thing that has been on the agenda, but never materialised.

I know SixApart were busy building Vox, but does anyone really use Vox?
