Working in AU for a US company?

Any idea about the implications of working in Australia for a company based in the US? Not a US company with an Australian office, in which case you'd be working for the local entity. Rather, one person working remotely for a foreign company.

The ATO site has info on foreign employment income, but it seems to assume that you'd be overseas when earning money from a foreign company...
