iTunes and Podcasts

iTunes annoyance time...

The Settings for Podcasts in iTunes allow you to Keep:
- All episodes
- All unplayed episodes
- Most recent episode
- Last 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 episodes

So... "all unplayed episodes" and "last 5 episodes" are mutaully exclusive? What do I select if I want to keep the last 5 episodes (in case I want to listen again), but don't want to lose anything I haven't yet played (even if some unplayed episodes aren't part of the last 5)?

I guess this is one of the side effects of keeping software simple. I'd also like to have different settings for each podcast, but it's a one-size-fits-all scheme. Grr.
