iView swallowed by Microsoft. :-(

Microsoft has just bought iView Multimedia, who made the wonderful iView MediaPro (digital asset management software for photographers). This not only leaves a bad taste, but also creates uncertainty about the future development of the application. On a human note, I notice that most of the developers are staying on and moving from London to Redmond. I guess Microsoft doesn't believe in remote working. I wonder how the employees themselves feel about it. I thought it was a big enough move when the LiveJournal team moved interstate to join SixApart. This is overseas!
